The 2011 Dunedin Heritage Festival will have a very exciting topic - it will be all about

GOLD!

Gold was found in Central Otago 150 years ago, in 1861, and the next Heritage Festival will celebrate everything Dunedin has become because of the discovery of the precious metal.
Watch this space as we put together events for people of all ages
to celebrate our living heritage!
You should also keep an eye out for the events that will be held in Lawrence in 2011
to celebrate 150 years of finding gold in Gabriel's Gully!
